June 2007....Dave Cosford, Assistant Director of PE and Sport at the SportsPark, is putting together a bid to gain a Volleyball Coach/Development Officer for Norfolk in the near future. This is obviously a fanatastic idea, something the county desperately needs and without a doubt is an idea the Norfolk Volleyball Association fully supports.
Dave says "I am in the process of building up a project plan to assist in employing a full time volleyball coach, who will work throughout the County to develop and progress the sport across as many ages as possible (but primarily children). I have met with Keith Sutton from Active Norfolk to discuss the funding possibilities, alongside the funding that the Sportspark will contribute. I am very positive that funding can be made available and feel that we could have somebody in position for September, ideally on a 3 year contract"
What a fantastic opportunity for Volleyball to be developed in the county. If you have anything to offer or ideas for Dave, then please contact him on D.Cosford@uea.ac.uk.
Thursday 8th November.....Meeting has been postponed. The meeting will take place later in the year, or at the start of next year. Get your thinking caps on for possible developments for volleyball in the county, ready for the meeting.
